I was directed by Bryan Dove at mmsi.boatus.com to the correct site to see my MMSI #. I now have ability to log on to boatus and MMSI accounts. Thanks

Misleading info

When you sign up they tell you you can cancel at anytime. When you go to cancel they tell you you have to cancel with-in 30 days its in the agreement.Very fine print in a whole other section but when you sign up they tell you you can cancel at any-time

Dissatisfied and disappointed

These people are crooks. They come up with rules that are not disclosed or given to you in print. I have been a member since 2016. Would highly not recommend them to anyone. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with their service. I would caution anyone from doing business with this company. They are extremely dishonest

PROMISE OF LOSS PAYMENT DELAYED

After spending weeks of providing ALL ($ 500 +) document to prove ownership and loss GEICO is now dragging its feet in order to delay payment. They constantly change their story and breaking promises. I had patience until today when I caught them in a Lie. Said they were waiting for CC to provide Documents and CC said they were sent almost two weeks AGO. I recorded ALL of our phone correspondence and can prove my points.

Charging Ripoff

Boat US member for 7 years. Got stuck on a mud shelf so my first tow ever was needed in an inland river area monopolized by one provider from Green Turtle Bay (GTB) that quoted $1,500.00! I had no choice, and was informed that I had only a $50.00 benefit amount to apply from my membership. GTB then attempted to overcharge my credit card $1,700.00 !! After holding my ground to the $1,500.00 they still have not even acknowledged the $50.00 BoatUS benefit credit. I since went ahead and purchased their gold everything coverage Do they hope to never need because apparently individual providers make up their own charges at will.

User's recommendation: Look for more honest providers in your area whose prices are set and not made up at will.

Credit Card Scam

I bought a yearly membership with BoatUS the only way you can purchase a membership is with a yearly automatic renewal from debiting your credit card, I sold my boat and called BoatUS and informed them that I no longer needed my membership and to cancel it, the lady I spoke to at BoatUS was very nice and helpful she said I would even receive a small refund to my credit card because I had cancelled my membership early before the renewal was due, two months later I get a email from BoatUS that my yearly membership was up for renewal and my credit card would be charged for the renewal, BoatUS just wants your credit card information it's impossible to cancel your membership, I had to cancel my credit card and get another credit card pass the word BoatUS is a scam company, I have since bought another boat and went with SeaTow a great reputable company without the automatic membership renewal requirement

Trailer Assist Package is a Joke

They have so many odd rules on what qualify s under their "unlimited trailer assist". It's garbage. I need help, hurricane is coming. Paid for this for past 5 years. But because its at my house they can't help me. If it's too close to my house they can't help me. If I push it out into the road again, like 10 houses away where it broke and stuck a knife in the tire. they might help. I can't even find their towing policy. .Pdf won't download. They do same crap w/ boat on the water. If going to one of their repair places your good. If not they charge you more. what is the "Gold" all about. Stop be scumming sales people. Honestly, tell me what I get when I pay for it every year. Make that clear. Or charge me more and provide me the actual service you so grossly sell me every year.

BoatUS should help members and not ripoff members!

After almost 10 years of membership I called Tow BoatUS the tow my boat as it made water. My boat was at the beach and they towed me home with 2 boats (one towing and one on the starboard site with pumps) after arrival back at my dock they charge me $1,800.00 per hour. They call it salvage and not towing anymore. Nice to know after towing me home. I refuse to sign and to pay. Fact: Boat US (or there subcontractors) don't help members, they are hunting general for people to ripoff. Beware and of course I will cancel my membership asap.

Tow insurance complaint

My boat stalled as i was approacing my dock near the end of October. I needed it towed to another marina for repair over the winter. I had to pay $100+ although i had the towus "gold" plan. I will not be renewing!

BoatUS Failed Me

I have been a BoatUS member and insured for five years. I have had three different boats insured with BoatUS. Two months ago I had the misfortune of having one of my boats sink 9 miles offshore. Years ago I purchased the Angelers Endorsment (provides 5,000.00 protection on my fishing gear) and was told it protects me on any boat even on a charter or friends boat... now in my time of need they tell me that it only covers my equipment if I was on my other boat. Total BS I fighting with them for my 5K. half the representatives tell me yes I'm covered and half say no... every time I call I get someone different and have to go through the whole thing over and over. I HATE BoatUS!!
