My membership has been four months and never received anything from y’all with my membership. I am very upset.
Never received my membership in the mail. There was never any record of me being on file when I would call in so I think they should honor it from this date not from August sincerely, David Mink.
Preferred solution: Mom membership started from December instead of August

Wow, what a scam! We pay monthly just to be ripped off in the time of an emergency.
We needed a tow. After a beyond frustrating phone call with dispatch, 2 boats showed up. We were clear that we did not need a pump-out, and when the 2nd boat arrived, they insisted on pumping out.
We ended a very stressful day with a large bill and an argument over the support we received. So disappointing!

Had this joke of an insurance for 2 years. Broke down in Pensacola and got helped in by a good Samaritan.
Could only stay overnight. So rested and got up the next morning and called. Needed to get home so I could fix my boat. From Pensacola to Fairhope, 40 miles.
After being on hold for an hour, I'm told three or four reasons they won't be able to do it. First, they said it was within the first 30 days of membership... ?? What I've been a member for 2 years.
So they backpedal and say since I spent the night I'm 'safe.' Well, I'm stranded and my boat's going to be impounded. But they would take me to their repair facility... NOT MINE. ROYALLY screwed me.
WASTE OF MONEY and totally misrepresented what they are.
You're basically paying in advance for someone's boat repair company's tow service. The unlimited plan, which I have, is worthless.

After paying premiums for 30 to 40 years , boatUS would not give me a battery jump , the reasoning was that it was my home dockage

Problem encountered while taking online course
While taking the online New York boat course, I was four pages from finishing, lost service, and it no longer even recognizes that I was enrolled in the course and told me to start over at the beginning.

Underwriters for Geico are terrible at communicating with Supervisors etc. Been 3 days and NO Geico Insurance back yet!
Terrible to treat a new customer this way! Never had this problem with Boat US folks!

Alisha, the service representative, hadled my removal from automatic resubcribing well. Had the people I spoke with in the summer requesting a tow been as helpful, i would probably signed up for another year. Unfortunately, they were not.

Had my name, member number and phone number but because she stated I wasnt giving her the right address she couldnt tell me anything about my account and when I needed to renew. This is the worst company and I would avoid them at all cost. Terrible customer service

For some unknown reason my boat anchor could not be raised - probably caught in something on the seabed. I thought I had no knife onboard to cut the rope.
I called US Boat for help, but they (Geico) refused to assist. A BoatUs operative could have saved us easily - but Geico refused. If I had no way of cutting the rope, we would have been in serious danger as night was approaching. USboat/Geico couldn't have cared less.
Luckily I found an old blunt knife onboard and eventually released the trapped anchor. No thanks to Geico who are only interested in making profits.
AVOID. They are only interested in one thing - and that's not you!

I am sitting at anchor for a week until my disability comes in on the 1st. My vessel, dog, and I are in impound.
Thought I had selected towing, but instead, it was trailering.
So, after hauling myself off a mud bar, the tow vessel came in and said, 'sorry, no tow package, tough ***
The tow operator and I came to an arrangement, or I would be floating in the Chesapeake Bay right now, no power, no fuel. Do not recommend in no damn way.

From a 30 mile tow to a rope around the prop, the team at boat USwere professional and skilled.

Safety course
I spent four hours on the boaters safety course and when I was almost done I put save and quit and it didn't save so I have to do it all over again never will I do this *** again

Line wrap s around prop beverly ma
A winter mooring stick & buoy wrapped around my drives and Trim tab while the boat was on a mooring. The Beverly MA Boat US Captain responded immediately & efficiently solved the problem. He was super nice.
My all round experience was 5 star!

Called to talk to manager at Boat U.S. and was informed that the local tow boat service is who I needed to be dealing with.
They are not responsible even thou our contact is with them.
NEVER use Towboat Sandusky. They totally ripped us off.
